Data Analysis and Summary
We redesigned the existing daily progress page
to offer patients a clear summary of the number
of puffs they should take eachday or month,
including details such as dosage remaining
and battery life. Patients should also be
able to easily share this information with their
healthcare provider.
Pairing the Smart Inhaler Attachment
(BIBO)
Adding new pairing options to provides a seamless
experience for the users with the same experience
as HPB trackers
Device Tracking | Alerts | Reminder
After pairing with the device, customizable features become available as extensions of the app. These features include the ability to trigger alerts on the app when the inhaler is not detected within the patient's pre-set range and to track the location of the inhaler. Additionally, the light can be toggled to assist in locating the device.
Educational Materials
We believe that the explore page can be further developed with educational materials to not only guide patients on asthma care but also provide other health tips for other users.

What to Do When You Don’t Have Your Inhaler
6 Tips for When You Don’t Have an Inhaler
Sit Upright
This opens your airway. Don’t bend over or lie down, as doing this constricts your airway even more.
Slow down your breath
Take long deep breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. You want to prevent hyperventilation.
Stay calm
Anxiety tightens your chest and back muscles, which makes it more difficult to breathe.
Get away from triggers
If you can get away from your triggers, do so. Move into clean air, preferably an air-conditioned environment, and try to take slow, deep breaths once you’re in a safe place.
Drink a warm beverage
Warm caffeinated beverage such as coffee or tea have similar properties to some asthma medications and can help temporarily improve airway functions.
Get medical help
If you can’t get the wheezing, coughing or breathing difficulties under control, it’s important to get help at the nearest clinic.
